Hey, folks~ I wanted to see what your favorite Tim Burton film was from the choices in this Poll. I got most of the major films with the exception of a handful, but the poll only takes so many options. Anyway, which is your favorite of all? Which do you own on DVD? I really liked his version of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, even though the Oompa Loompas are quite creepy. I'm planning on getting the Corpse Bride dvd next. It's out on the 31st of January, so I don't have much longer to wait. I loved this film. The characters, colors, and music was all beautiful. I'm also quite fond of animation in general, so this movie was one of my favorites in 2005. I'm a student in interactive design and animation, so i'm all about The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride. Easily two of my favorite animation films ever. For more than just the animation, too. Have any of you been to the corpse bride dvd site? I really like the style they did it in. Very true to the film's style. Wish I could make something this nice: www.corpsebridedvd.com . They just launched it recently, it seems. They're going to have some cool goodies for us all such as a podcast from Danny Elfman, the musical genius behind the score/soundtrack. A poetry contest. A desktop maggot, which should be interesting. And some other stuff. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Which is your favorite? It's hard to choose, isn't it? ;D

I gotta say my fav tim burton movie is edward scissorhand but the man is no hack, he's a genius for still being able to create movies like Big Fish Charlie and particularly his stop motion animated movies like Corpse Bride. The site seems cool but everything is coming soon? I guess I will bookmark it and keep it for later.

They updated the stuff on the site, so you should give it another go. They have the poetry contest up and you can enter to win one of 3 puppets from the movie. Very cool. I sent a few e-cards to some friends to enter and win me a puppet~!

I really hope Corpse Bride wins the Academy Award this year. IMO there isn't a better animated movie to come out. The only one I can think of is Howls Moving Castle and it didn't really live up to the hype. I entered that poetry contest but I see they already announced the winners. I really wished I could win one of those puppets.

Corpse Bride up for best 'anime'? I don't know 'bout that one, but maybe you mean best animated feature film. *shrugs* I'm glad this thread got a good number of posts. Not too bad a turn out. lol. So you didn't win either that poetry contest either, eh, Terry? Sucks. I know what you mean. Having one of the puppets from the movie would make my collection quite nice. Oh, well. I hope that it wins an Oscar. It's deserving of 'em. heh.
